How to request deletion
Anyone with an Anestra account may request deletion.
Students request in the app:
- Open Today.
- Tap the gear icon.
- Open Settings.
- Under Privacy & Account, tap Request account deletion.
Staff, and students who cannot use the app, request by email to privacy@anestra.org from the email address on the account, naming their program.
Who decides
The program that holds the account decides. A program coordinator or program administrator approves or declines the request in the portal. Anestra platform administration may act on the program's written instruction.
If the request is approved
Anestra removes the person's ability to sign in and their personal details: the sign-in account, profile photo including the stored file, phone number, any personal non-school email address, and device and notification identifiers. The account record is marked deleted with the date and the acting staff member.
What the program keeps
The program retains its own academic and clinical records for that person, including name, school email, clinical days, attendance, hours, evaluations, case logs, absences and program communications, under its accreditation record-keeping obligations. These records are not deleted by a request.
If the request is declined
On decline, nothing changes.
The email you receive
In both cases Anestra emails the person at the email address on the account, captured before any removal, stating the outcome and, on approval, what was removed and what the program retains.
Deletion cannot be undone
Deletion is not reversible. A person whose account was deleted needs a new invitation from the program to use Anestra again.
